Great mpg but annoying design flaws

I bought my 1.6 to save on fuel. My part leather interior seats are b uncomfortable. Solved the lack of cushioning by fitting Mark 2 Fabia Vrs seats in the front in fabric version. Much much thicker bolsters. With 87k miles and a great history on mine I expected reliability. No such luck. Issues that I've had to fix on mine - hunting idle - one cam sensor, two new injectors and fixed. Injectors don't throw fault codes though... Wiring for mirrors and windows go through pinch point front doors. Had to reconnect wiring. Mirror knob cheap so (inside) easily broken, easy fix. Roof glass blinds DO NOT stay closed. Solved with a mobile phone dashboard clip, clipped them shut. Headlights ("projectors") are r******. Swap to led bulbs but of course OFF ROAD only ??. Very very light steering... Won't be any good if icy... Raining? Don't open windows even slightly - unless you want a shower...
