Honda Civic (2017 - 2021)
1.0T VTEC SE CVT 5dr
Great car; some quality niggles
Great 1.0L turbo engine; this engine mixed with the CVT gearbox doesn't get great reviews and I can see why - it can make the car feel a bit lazy and it isn't the smoothest. However, I'm a pretty lazy driver and it suits my driving style just fine. Fuel economy averaging 41mpg - could be worse. Lots of tech that makes life easier - lane keeping assist, auto dipping beam, brake hold. Comfortable seats and a decent size boot. I love the look of the car still.
Niggles - the warranty has expired and I've just found out that the AC condenser needs to be replaced. Honda are covering most of the cost of the part as a goodwill gesture (apparently a common enough problem) but I need to pay labour costs etc; about £250 - not the end of the world but I wish I'd got it looked at a couple of months earlier. There are a couple of rattles and creaks from the dash and the cloth seats get dirty quickly. You have to press "OK" on the infotainment screen every time you start the car.
