Ford Kuga (2013 - 2020)
1.5T 150 Zetec EcoBoost Start+Stop 5dr SUV
Better than some reviews I read.
I often change my car once, sometimes twice a year. I get bored easily.
Very nice car. Not far off the Lexus RX400h I had comfort wise. Suspension is a good compromise between handling and comfort. Much more compliant than a lot of the road tests say imo. I've had Merivas, Octavia's, Yeti, etc. that had much firmer suspension.
The Zetec has all you could need, anything else is just to impress the neighbours/friends.
1.5 Ecoboost engine is very refined and has plenty performance for most. If not it's easily upgraded to 200hp for under £400.
However, shortly after I bought the car ( 2 years old, 12,500 miles), I had smoke pouring out of the exhaust. A problem with number 2 cylinder meant a new engine, luckily under warranty but took 8 weeks. I've trawled the internet and not seen this problem anywhere else so it's probably (hopefuly) a one off.
In conclusion a nice comfortable car. Dash looks a bit dated but has the tech. Nice high ride with plenty of room all round.
