Worst Car We Have Ever Owned
We bought this car brand new, although it had been pre-registered buy the Citroen Dealer. After one year the problems began. The first engine problem cost us a £300 investigation fee. The dealer checked the fuel, oil and service record's and everything was in order. However we had to hire a car for two weeks as no courtesy car was available at our expense. The car went well for a year before going again. This time we seeked advices from the Motor Ombudsman. Thanks to our letters to Citroen, as advised, we had a courtesy car for the three weeks and a new engine fitted. This year the car had the clutch master cylinder stop working. Two weeks later as we were leaving for our holiday the clutch release bearing release arm and hose had to be replaced. Total cost of this work £1400 Then to cap it all the week we decided to sell the car the radiator thermostatic switch went that cost £100 just to check it was faulty! The car has been sold and an old Ford S Max replaced it as this is all we could afford after three years and about £15000 buying the car renting cars and repairs as we are retired living on a pension!
