Citroen C3 Picasso (2009 - 2017)
1.6 HDi (110hp) Exclusive
Flexible & economical people (4) & load carrier with high driving position
I took possession on 1/03/2011 & have driven about 25k miles comprising of about 4k miles/year on motorways/autoroutes. With two up the car takes about 1.5 cu meters of stuff which is good for it's small footprint. Mpg is around 54 mpg on the trip computer. It uses no engine oil between services (1 per year) and the tyres look to have plenty of life in them. The seats are comfortable but in common with many modern cars the low profile (55) tyres give a firmer ride than I prefer. The handling & performance are better than they look on paper with plenty of acceleration for overtaking on the move. I do a fair number of short runs & read of diesel particulate problems but this is my second Citroen & I have experienced none. I like the high driving position & being able to step into the seat without banging my head as is the case with many cars & their sloping windscreens.
The car also comes with lots of useful features & is worth looking at.
Dislikes:- The 6 speed gear change is notchy & the transmission noise can sound like a 2 cv.
The glove box is as described, suitable for only two pairs of gloves.
Finally I am struggling to think of an alternative car when the time comes to change.
