Citroen C3 Picasso (2009 - 2017)
1.6 VTi VTR+ 5dr People Carrier
Generally favourable impressions with the odd gripe
Bought this model to replace a Xsara Picasso 1.6 Petrol which gave great service for over 12 years. While it is not as spacious as the Xsara Picasso, it is roomy enough for my needs, and is after all a size lower.
Performance is pretty good with the 1.6 petrol engine, but fuel economy is no better than the bigger and heavier Xsara Picasso with a 1.6 petrol engine, though I have slight misgivings over gear change.
Roadholding and handling are good for a tall car, but the low profile tyres fitted to this particular model make for a much harsher ride than on lesser models.
This particular model is well equipped with My Way Sat Nav Bluetooth combo, Climate Control (Dual Zone), Parking Sensors, fancy lights, electric folding door mirrors etc etc, although some of the extras I could do without - Cruise Control, Automatic Lights and Wipers (I am quite capable of deciding when I have the lights and wipers on thank you very much).
A few niggles:
Front Seats lacking lumbar support on long journeys.
No Spare Wheel - b***** Aerosols and Electric Pump.
Internal storage a bit lacking apart from door pockets.
Due to shape and curve of rear widow, swept area is rather small.
Many forums reporting problems with water getting into fusebox
