  I'm currently looking at purchasing a 1.8 tdci ford focus. I've noticed that many later cars have the lower output version of the 1.8 tdci engine, can anyone explain why this is?, is the 115 not reliable in that state of tune?. Also are there mechanical differences between the two engines

  FIL's Exhaust went on Holiday last week he needed a new catalyst and front box as the cat was cracked. Ford rapid fit relieved him of £1300 to fix it. The biggest cost was the catalyst, a genuine Citroen part, at £800+Vat! If we were at home I could have searched the internet for a pattern part.
