  plug light to come on it still doesnt start straight away. It will turn over but not fire up. Theres only a couple of occasions where it starts and stops straight away. Im just hoping theres a simple obvious fix rather that the immobiliser or ecu etc. Are there any obvious faults on these cars

The fact that it can run clean makes me think it is a sender or of course the ECU. As it is not dire and not changing in its occurance I am reluctant to replace everthing

  for new injectors at some stage, would like to keep the car, but have a lack of confidence. Any suggestions as to the underlying problem? I think 2002 was the first of the TDCI fiestas so maybe a design fault or ECU issue? mostly use tesco diesel in it (if thats makes any difference) any help appreciated
