  my seat mk3 blower, air con has more smelly recently, almost making one feel bit sore throated at times is this a filter replacement job? I have no idea where such filters are located, thanks for all advice in advance

  Swiching noice - which in-/decreases with speed - identified by main dealer as caused by air-con compressor which needs replacing at cost of parts £800 plus labour 5.5 hrs, a total of £1,300. Doesn't sound right.  Any suggestions, please?

  In the manual for my car it says it must be 4 C or higher - haven't been able to get the air con to turn on in the past few days. It makes a click sound when I push the button, but the light doesn't come on and neither does the A/C.

  The air conditioning on my 1999 mondeo is not providing cold air. What are the probable causes of this?? Does it need the refrigerent replacing or recharging or could it be the pump? What should I check first?

  My air con is blowing out warm air until I have been driving for 20 minutes when it is slightly cooler. Firstly the compressor pulley was found to have come adrift and was bolted back on. A refill made a slight improvement and showed no leaks. Does the symptoms lead you to draw any conclusions

  I am fairly certain the air-con in my seven year old Mondeo has never been repaired/regassed at all since new, yet it still seems to working fairly effectively if not 100%. I rarely use it winter except to speed up screen de-misting, so it is not as if I have it running regularly outside
