  to the ECU - earth pin on number one cylinder injector. Much as I love the old barge, I don't have faith that this car won't fail me again. It has a small oil leak coming from somewhere behind the engine block (gear linkage?)  and drips occasionally on the garage floor so I am thinking

  Re the 2005 BMW Z4 2.0i. "The washer pumps routinely fail if the correct BMW washer fluid is not used. " That car is 12 years old. Does the comment about the washer fluid / pump failure cause and effect still hold true for BMWs manufactured during the last five years, or even 'today'? Thankyou

  Power steering has failed on my daughters micra. Nissan want £1200 for the PS unit and a reconditioned one is around £500. Any advice appreciated as this is just a joke for a 6 year old car.

  My automatic 525 makes a ticking or buzzing sound when accelerating. It does not do it when revving in neutral. The car is 3 years old with 9,000 miles. Any ideas?

  There is a youth around here that drives an old shed, the car pumps out enough noxious fumes to smoke the population of a nearby fishery. Did I dream this or was there an on-line reporting system to VOSA to report such wretched behaviour ?

  Car is 3.5 year old and done 58000 and has dropped a valve. Dealers say never heard of this happening before. Options are new engine ( £3500 ) or re-build. Am considering re-manufactured engine but replacement heads are apparently in short supply. Any suggestions / recommendations

  I'm considering an 03 Octavia TDi with 127,500 miles on the clock. Am I being silly? It does seem a lot of miles for a 3 year old car, but if its been well maintained and looked after then why shouldn't it be OK? Any ideas/comments?
