  I'm changing the outer CV joint (passenger side). Whilst trying to get the old on off I pulled the driveshaft and seperated the inner joint ( still mounted in the car). According to some of the 'how  to's' you shouldn't do this but, is this such a big deal with the tripod

  Colleague has a petrol 2 litre RAV4, will be 3 years old in March, and just had diagnosed that the clutch and water pump need to be replaced and she is getting this done under warranty (car has done 19k miles !) I am thinking, are these chain or belt, if belt what is the time limit for changes

  My key stopped remotely locking a few days ago, as car is three yrs old I thought the battery was expired. I got the relevant battery and fitted the replacement however there is still no life in it. Locks work fine with the key inserted, do I need to get the key re-codedin some way by ford dealer

  noticed the earth cable from the battery was hanging off yesterday causing it not to start so i put a ring terminal on and it started again . then wen i came out this morning it failed to start again . tried jump starting it with no joy . also changed the battery to no avail after the old one went

  While doing my routine weekly checks of tyres, fluid levels etc today I discovered a small nail right in the edge of one of my front tyres (it had lost 15psi).   my front brake pads need changed now if not sooner:) Anyone experience of these? I've done plenty of the old Ford type with pins that need drifted out and Toyota ones that you undo a bolt and half the caliper swings up out the way but these look a bit different again. I've not got a workshop manual
