Movano Steering Wheel replacement - DanG
I am looking to replace the steering wheel on my trusty old van, as its a bit manky! Is this a simple job of finding another I like and bolting it on? Do most cars/vans have a "universal" mount, or do they all differ? Will this effect MOT/insurance?

No, they're all different [and contain an airbag] so not straightforward at all.

This one's as basic as they come, with what appears to be a single hexbolt? holding the thing on (I've taken the centre plastic cap off).

Fancy putting some bicycle handlebars on :) No seriously.......

But under that bolt is a manufacturer-specific spline and taper. [No airbag - on a W-plate??]

Nope, no air bag.

Having been to a Vauxhall dealer today to discover they were goning to charge me over £40 for an air filter, only to find Halfords did the same thing for £12.95, I was not too pleased! What's more, Halfords had the part delivered to the store in under an hour - thats what I call service.

I gather from this that vauxhall are going to charge me a silly price for a replacment steering wheel....
