Was a nice car at one time
I replaced the air con compressor 6k miles ago. This week the auxiliary belt snapped part went though into the cam belt it jumped 4 teeth and the engine is wrecked.
So the verdict to replace the engine is more than the car is worth
The lesson apparently this is a common problem that Volvo know about and have changed the compressor design (no one knows what they have done as it looks like any after market one) as are broken springs.
