Unexpected expenses

I bought a new Outback in March 2016. Its mostly been trouble free motoring other than lots of creeks and knocks from the interior trim. My latest problem is that having had my windscreen replaced the eyesight safety system no longer works. The car is fiited with an OE replacment windscreen and teh dealer tells me that they cannot explain what the fault is in the camera but the left side camera is dirty and they suspect this is the issue causing the system to fail under calibration. They have now quoted me £3300 to replace the camera as my only option as you cannot clean the cameras. It does seem absurd that when something gets dirty on what is supposed to be a rugged vehicle that you have to pay this much to replace the part.
