Subaru Forester (2013 - 2019)
5dr estate forester
OK, just.
It needed a new clutch on delivery, about 50,000, and again about 1 year ago, 90,000 miles, second one not covered by warranty (covid has reduced out driving distances). After many years of driving I have not had to replace clutches before.
The Gear box takes a bit of getting used to 3rd to 2nd to 1st. Tends to stall if starting in 2nd eg having slowed at a roundabout.
The retro fitted fob key lock only works about 18 inches from the fron twindows.
The drivers side front seat does not retain its setting. constantly have to pump it up.
Can get about 45 MPG at high motor way speeds and until recently 41.5 ish about town, Down hill to town and up hill home.
Good turning circle (compared with the old Volvo V70 estate it replace) much better for narrow lanes and tight parking.
Tows well.
Easily fast enough on motorways to get speeding tickets!
Now sounds like it needs either a new front bearing on the off side or possibly a new constant velocity joint.
