The car is excellent, it does exactly what is required.
I had a 2008 1.9 TDI previously and was concerned at the possible lack of power with the 1.6 TDI but this was unfounded and it is only very seldom that i notice the slight lack of pulling power. In every day use it is fine.
I regularly get an actual 72 mpg (80 mpg on computer) on a motorway journey. I do a lot of miles so that is a big bonus for me. I only put Shell diesel in the tank unless i am caught out.
I find the seats fine, even after a 400 mile round trip to Manchester and i have not yet developed any rattles or irritating noises.
This is my 3rd Octavia and definately the best and i intend to take it up to just over 200,000 before selling.
