Hyundai ix35 (2009 - 2015)

Good value car lacking some finesse/quality in certain areas
Car offers good value for money as in the spec. purchased it includes a very high specification.
Lacks quality in some areas - hard plastics on dash are a little cheap feeling. Suspension at front and rear is a little 'jiggly' (in fact the rattles at the rear have been cured by the recent fitment of new drop-links which the dealer tells us is part of a 'recall'). Interior carpets are very cheap they hold onto sand for example which is very difficult to get out even with a fairly high powered vacuum cleaner. Fuel economy isn't close to the government quoted figs - we normally get around 39 mpg without too much heavy use of the throttle but you could get much less mpg if you were heavy-footed. Original headlight bulbs were very poor replaced them with Osrams and that provided a great improvement. Cain suffers wind-noise at speed.
Under warranty it has had a replacement reversing camera (stoppped working), new speedo binnacle (sat nav. screen was flickering), replacement rear shock absorber that was leaking.
Overall very roomy car and hasn't let us down. Quality needs to be improved in some areas (see above)
