Hyundai i10 (2008 - 2014)
1.2 Active 5dr Hatchback
Nippy. load hauler. Which is fun round town but, also cruises well on a motorway at around 70 all day 4's comfortable 5 at a squeeze.
I have now owned this for almost five years. Sufficient time for a good review of the pitfalls and pleasures of Owning a Hyundai i10
Due to an accident, mileage has been curtailed and so far only covered 27,000 miles eventful though it has been. Smashed into whilst stationary at six months all dealt with by Hyundai assist and they were marvellous.
A few problems have manifested itself new instrument panel due to the disco light effect, door window frame rust showing through on the welded corners 1 door replaced other rust treated all resprayed ( better the second time). First set of tyres lasted 25000 miles, they had a couple of mm before illegal but winter was approaching. other than that nothing really bad to say about the car enjoy driving it on all aspects of journeys.
Have noted that clutch travel is getting towards top before engaging, but with modern friction material am led to believe this is common.
All in all would I recommend an i10 yes I would but always park it out of the way of i****s.
