Hyundai i10 (2008 - 2014)
1.1 Classic 5dr Hatchback
cheap fun reliable and dependable
17 Jan 2104 , Picked up my Pre reg I10 with 8 miles from Bolton , it were registered Oct 2013 , Its the basic 1.2 Classic, but even the basic comes with elec Windows, and Air Con, and adjustable steering wheel up and down, Drove it 60 miles back to my home and I have to say its nippy for a 1.2 but the clutch biting point is fearsome and may not be suitable for a new learner driver , I know from previous i10s that if you keep your foot resting on the clutch pedal the clutch in these do not last long, on the way home the radio fascia went a kind of dim that you could not see the time etc, and im sure the radio near home cut of then come back on, but the fascia is OK now so we will see how that goes, seats are not extra comfy but its a very cheap car, so what do we expect, on its first day I would give it 8 out of 10 – watch this space for the next update.
10 Feb 2014 , just an update , my car has just gone over 1000 miles, and drives very well for such a cheap car, I have had a towbar put on to tow a small trailer, and it tows very well, have managed to get a stone chip on the front already , but hey its a car its going to happen I guess, the radio issue is a common problem on these cars were the facia goes dim, this happens after an hour or so, when the car gets warm, and happens every time, but the problem is getting the radio out without scratching the dash to replace, so the dealer said, so I will make do with it, its a great car for the money, I dont regret buying it one bit,
06th April 2014 , the car has now done over 3000 miles . And has just towed a box trailer back 80 miles, with no problems, its a cheap reliable car and it does everything it says on the tin, I am more than thrilled with it and will keep it a few more years to come , lets hope the new I10 is as good and reliable .
