Highly underated.

I am really now forming a opinion that of all the motoring publications out there, Honest John's must be about the only true, fair and honest tester out there. Despite what virtually all of the other magazines said negatively about this car, I tried it for myself and realised that it met all of my conditions. Stylish, roomy, economical and with most of the goodies safety and luxurious that a driver would ever need. I do not find that it rolls excessively in corners, the suspension unsettling, or the engine coa*** and noisy at least with the manual gearbox, which mine has. True that it isn't quiet as the old multi valve and vtec Honda engines, but then again, this is a chain cam driven engine, not belt driven which most of the other engines were. The mechanical noise heard is the chain, pulleys and tensioners. My only negative points would be that I'd have liked the option of say, either a 1.5 turbo or 1.8 petrol version, which is available in other markets and a proper temperature gauge instead of a light, and why is there not even a space saver as a spare? I've found that only Honest John's and one other publications test report concurred with my analysis of owning this car.
Don't always believe the hype that you read, experience things for yourself before you decide is what I say. Maybe Honda will act on my findings above on subsequent facelifts to come?
