BMW X1 (2015 - 2022)
2.0d Xdrive Xline
VERY DISAPPOINTING
Maybe just me but this does not feel like a BMW at all. The steering is vague, the manual gearbox heavy and clunky, controls like the heater with the exception of the temperature knobs are difficult to find when driving, the seats are very hard and whilst I appreciate I have bigger (not the biggest) wheels, the ride is horrid. Every variation in the road surface, let alone holes, knocks the car off course.
I just find it a very difficult car to drive. My last rant is about the supposedly amazing LED lights which are........pathetic. I have a better main beam light on our little Peugeot 107. On the plus side its quite well built although I have rattle under the dashboard, it heats up quickly for a diesel (unlike VAG diesels that take a good 20 minutes to warm the interior, and there's lots of space. Sadly Its goodbye BMW from me.
