  was told the immobiliser had shut and wasnt allowing the ecu to send power and cause a spark becuase the key wasnt being recognised. so i tried the spare but still no joy. just wondered if anyone had any idea as my friend is desperate for the car. many thanks.

  Hi all, I recently picked up an 850 T5 estate. I'm in the process of repairing the ABS ECU (a known fault with this model- dry joints need resoldering), and consequently the ABS is disabled at the moment. I'm hoping to have it done and refitted by the weekend, but things are rather busy
