My petrol 206 has never liked cold weather in that it used to always start fine but if for the first 10 minutes or so of a drive you'd coast upto a junction the engine would probably cut out, it would restart immediately. More recently though it happens if hot or cold but also if travelling at speed, motorway or example, sometimes it judders as though it half cut out but then resumes as normal.
Also if stuck in traffic the revs will sometimes climb for no real reason and then either settle or the engine will faulter and then cut out. If warm and it cuts out its also getting more difficult to start and taking perhaps 5 seconds on the key to fire. If warm and i stop the engine it starts again fine. Economy is unchanged and recent full service has made no difference. No codes to read from ECU so i am wondering if anyone has any ideas?
thanks
