Is it strictly necessary to remove battery terminal connectors before attaching a battery charger, or indeed not at all? In the old days with a dynamo it didn't matter. Nowadays with an alternator I'm not so sure. Recently I removed the leads and the radio worked fine with no attention afterwards. -
