  Is it strictly necessary to remove battery terminal connectors before attaching a battery charger, or indeed not at all? In the old days with a dynamo it didn't matter. Nowadays with an alternator I'm not so sure. Recently I removed the leads and the radio worked fine with no attention afterwards.

  Having fixed top core plugs to get rid of leak, I now have a misfire with engine management flashing as the engine is asked to accelerate. Plugs were replaced in January, leads and coil pack replaced this week, still got problem any thoughts.

  the rear wiper motor does not work unless i connect a lead form the earth connection on the motor direct to a chassis part which i know means i have a bad earth but how is the back door earthed to the main body.

  I am connected with a Motor Club. Recently the question was asked:- "Does anyone know how to change the polarity of a dynamo?" Apparantly, it seems, if you touch one of the leads to earth while the dynamo is running, the polarity is reversed. Allegedly. Does anyone has any ideas on this subject
