  Got Mazda 5, 2013 has 52,000 miles. Nice car, runs well with sliding doors. Thought had it for 6 years. I’m spending quite a bit on petrol, thinking whether it’s time to change to a hybrid. Would it save petrol having a hybrid. I would probably look for a car, about two years old.

  Hello. Car starts and runs 30 seconds and stops. Car for sale and thinking to buy. Not sure if it does it repeatedly. Could it be the tank and sender immersion unit or is there an engine high pressure fuel pump could be to blame? I have no kit to measure

  Stop-start hasn't worked for months. Not driven much during lockdown and been sitting a lot in the cold weather. Took it for a battery check yesterday (No problem with it), and a good run today, but no joy. Can anyone advise? Thanks

  @ DF, film the issues with your infotainment system on your mobile when they happen. helps the dealer use them to show Skoda, and hopefully get a resolution for you before the warranty runs out. might just be as simple as needing a software/firmware update.

  I have a 2015 Scirocco 2.0TDi with start stop function. I've read that it is recommended idling a turbo diesel for a few minutes after a long motorway run to avoid damaging the turbo but how does this work with the start stop facility kicking in automatically when coming to a stop on the off

  since having a new cambelt and water pump fitted the garage cannot get my car to run properly. it is in limp home mode. they have rechecked the pump timing as that came up when a diagnostic was carried out. there does not appear to be anything wrong in the crankshaft sensor area either
