  I have a ford fiesta 18d m reg... last week or so it has been a pig to start..battery and starter motor replaced 6 months ago..when i do get it going it is fine for the rest of the day...it just hates mornings for some reason..can anybody point me in the right direction

  I keep reading about cars being fitted with the Stop/Start system, the latest Jag has it. Then I think of driving through the Blackwall Tunnel, London, every day, in the winter, it can take an hour. Does the system turn the headlights down? Because I can't see how the battery can

  Hi, I'munable to lock / unlock my car remotely after a few minutes from when the ignition has been switched off.  I've changed the battery in the keyfob but this hasn't made a difference!  It's not a big problem as i can lock/unlock it manually.  Any suggestions??

  car cut out without warning and wont start i have no ignition light except the battery and oil light which are on permanetly even with no key in i have checked the fuses and seem to be ok please help

  I have jusy changed the cooling thermostat (not easy had to remove the battery) and now the engine temp gauge stays unrecording though the heater gets hot. It did work ok before! Where is this sensor and how do I reach it?

  My head lights and rear lights will not turn off, I found that drain at the top of the engine bay was blocked. The only way i turn them off is by disconnecting the battery. Anyone ever had this problem?? Please advise {Edited - as per the 1st reply to your question}

  I cannot get into the car i have removed the battery by getting into the boot from the wheel arch but the locking will not reset.what should i try next help !!!! {Post amended to remove the SHOUTING!}

  last night my rev counter stopped working then my speedo then all other fuel gauge etc. now the car wont start even bump do you think my battery is u/s and shorting? the alternator looks new

  hi problem with my 53 reg kangoo van. my key fob stopped working replaced battery in it and it still does not work, but i can still drive it and the red light still flashes on steering column any ideas ?

  having had a dead battery replaced the car is very noisy and has a distinct lack of power, it is also smoking heavily when trying to accelerate. local garage has replaced crankshaft sensor but problem still exists. can anybody help with a possible solution.

  Nice simple one hopefully! Oval analogue style clock on mine keeps losing time, only 5-10 mins a day, any adjusting screws behind it or is this something more sinister like an advance warning of a weak battery? No other electrical niggles.

  Hi, one of the keys buttons for my 03 zafira is not functioning properly. I changed the batteries but still when I press on the button to open or close it won't work straight away, some times I have to press on it five or six times before it will work.

  hi a pal of mines just bought a pug 406 v6 r reg he had to disconect the battery [not sure why] upon connecting it again the remote locking doesnt work . it will with the key in lock though any ideas or remedes?? any help apreciated ta

  The brake pad warning light has come on, I have replaced the pads ( the old ones still had about 10mm left on them) but the light is still on. All the wiring seems to be o.k. If I disconnected the battery would this reset the system, or could it cause more problems. Thanks in advance. sparky 100.

  My Astra 1.8sxi occasionally has a problem starting, more often when it is warm but can happen any time. It always starts eventually and runs perfectly.   Wife has a R reg VW Polo automatic, once in a while when driving slowly or coming to a stop the engine would cut out. For the last two days it has been happening quite regulary, even when driving 5mph in traffic. It was serviced a month ago. Could it be the automatic gears or is it a battery fault.
