Vauxhall Insignia (2008 - 2017)
SE 1.8i 5dr Hatchback
A lot of car for the money
I bought this car after doing a lot of research. I needed something with a large boot, a car that would be comfortable on a long journey and something that would not break the bank. This car fits all those requirements.
As others have mentioned the view from the rear window is poor so parking sensors are a must. I did have reservations about having only a 1.8 litre engine in what after all is quite a large car, but if you are not too concerned about being a boy racer it is perfectly adequate.
I have now owned this vehicle for nine months and am very pleased with it
Recently had service car soon light come on. The car had been recently serviced. Diagnostics revealed a fault with the thermostat which has an electrical connection this was replaced and the problem was cured.
Now 9 months later I am experiencing problems with my heater controls constantly blowing cold air and not directing air out of the correct vents which I need to have rectified.
Additional comments
I have now had this car for over two years. Apart from the previous niggles I have had no further problems. I have it dealer serviced annually with oil and filter changed regardless of mileage.I have had the cambelt changed purely on the age of the car.
As far as I am concerned it was a good used car buy
