A lot of car for the money

I bought this car after doing a lot of research. I needed something with a large boot, a car that would be comfortable on a long journey and something that would not break the bank. This car fits all those requirements.
As others have mentioned the view from the rear window is poor so parking sensors are a must. I did have reservations about having only a 1.8 litre engine in what after all is quite a large car, but if you are not too concerned about being a boy racer it is perfectly adequate.
I have now owned this vehicle for nine months and am very pleased with it
Now after twelve months of regular use I have had to have the coolant expansion tank replaced due to a small crack which resulted in me having to top up coolant weekly. This is apparently quite a common fault with this car. Quite a cheap fix to replace the tank at under £120including VAT.
Update July 2022. Now had this car for five years and will be due for a change this year. No real problems.
I have had the cam belt changed at a main dealer, plus it has been serviced annually despite its low mileage of 40,000 miles. The thermostat, battery and one headlight bulb have been changed. I consider that pretty good for a car of this age. Driving is still a pleasure particularly motorway cruising. The MPG is still good. I do however only use E5 petrol despite the extra cost. It didn't seem to perform that well with E10.
