Vauxhall Insignia (2008 - 2017)
1.4T 140 SRi Start+Stop 5dr
Great
Insignia is a solid looking car and drives very well, I have had mine a good few years now.
SRi trim has good equipment levels, a solid package all round. Very nice stylish touches inside and out, amazing looking car.
Lovely to drive. Yes the suspension is firmer on sportier models - but never uncomfortable.
Some blind spots but you get used to it. Car is very spacious and has a massive boot.
1.4 Turbo petrol engine has good enough power but not a fast car by any means. Reasonably economical, you can get 37 - 41 MPG taking it easy.
Reliability has been OK, this updated 2014 model car is better than earlier models. Make sure you service it on time and keep an eye out for common issues (lots of help website online) and you should find it OK. In four years all I have done is services, exhaust and battery. There are some cosmetic issues such as water leaking into the boot area and the headlights are always full of condensation. But the car is ten years old now with higher mileage.
Overall a very nice car for the money, easily the best for the money in this class on the used market. Watch out for overpriced high mileage ex taxi diesel cars out there. As with any car - Buy one only with full history and do not pay too much.
