Vauxhall Insignia (2008 - 2017)
1.8 Petrol SRI 5dr
Lovely car to drive but poor MPG
Really nice car to drive. Very similar to the late Renault Laguna for comfort and drivabillity. There are three things though which niggle me. 1. there is a terrible blind spot in the back windscreen when reversing as the window is so small and at such an angle, you definitely need sensors when reversing. I suppose that's the price you pay for a big boot. 2. The 1.8 petrol version has NO overtaking power. Too be honest, its embarrassing for a 1.8 petrol engine, but I suppose its because its such a big car. But the major gripe is the MPG..... 3. The MPG is claimed 40.4 mpg Combined, that's 52 MPG Extra Urban and 29 MPG Urban......that's the biggest joke on the planet. Ive never managed to get better than 33.8 Combined and im a driving instructor.
