Vauxhall Insignia (2008 - 2017)
1.8i VVT 140 EXclusiv 5dr
Spacious, great handling, loves drinking fuel
Its great, space in the cabin superb, and can get lengths of carpet in with the seats folded..... Nice quiet ride, handles really well on the 245/45/18 tyres. Gearbox is unreliable, requiring replacement more frequently than the cambelt, and the fuel consumption is truly horrendous. Fuel cons. matches the madness road tax bracket, which has jointly put the brakes firmly on using this car for commuting. Other minor niggles are the tiny glovebox, no electric rear windows (its a 2010 car? what went wrong?) And also the 140 brake engine has less torque than a mini mixer, so is only able to move the siggy through traffic at a pace more akin to falling backwards into a swimming pool. Full of setting road tar. Other than the gearbox discombobulating, one ABS sensor and a coil pack, ive done 40000 rather expensive miles, but have managed some EPIC tip runs using the cavernous boot to full potential. Yes, id have another, but not with the one point late petrol engine or M32 type gearbox.
