Vauxhall Insignia (2008 - 2017)
Exclusiv 2.0 CDTi 5dr Hatchback
A very attractive car offering both comfort for the driver and passenger and smooth handling
I had to part with my Vectra as the bucket seats and my sciatica did not work well. The first thing to say about my Insignia is how comfortable it is. My fiance has sat in the front and rear passenger seats and says both are also very comfortable.
I bought the car with 1500 miles on the clock but am now up to 62000, mainly motorway driving. The rear brake discs and pads were renewed at 40000 and the front have just been renewed.
The engine performs well on the motorway and the speed range in both 5th and 6th gear is very good. I had a return valve failure, fixed on warranty.
Negatives about the car:
- compared to the Vectra, I have noticed that the mirrors get very dirty very quickly on rainy days.
- reversing into parking spaces is made more difficult by the view out the rear window -but the car looks so sexy from behind!
- the turning circle of the car is not as good as the Vectra
