Vauxhall Astra (2015 - 2022)
1.4T 125ps Tech Line Nav 5dr Hatchback
Does a lot of things well, good comprimise but there are some horrible faults out there.
Its overall a good car. This one is ex-lease so milage is high and sevice history a little vauge. But it was cheap for the year.
Comfortable, economical (averaging 45mpg in rural Fen drivimg), better than the Astra H 1.6 I had before.
Driver aids good - radio works well, loud and clear. Plays USB songs well.
Phone easy to bluetooth but button control could be better. However it can speak texts to you or you can ignore them as I do.
Android Auto is great no need to purchase redicuously expensive sat-nav updates.
Tyre pressure monitors essential as there is currently no spare wheel. Its costs £200+ to get one (with tray) of Ebay and £400 ish from a dealer.
Miss the auto dip mirror and auto wipers off my 1.6 Design but you get used to that.
Headlights good when correctly adjusted, were MUCH to low as delivered.
Auto switch on/off of headlights too sensitive - Astra H system was much better, you have to leave the dash lights set to max of you cant see the satnav when the headlight turn on in full daylight (effing nuisance) .
Overall good, handles OK, economy OK, got enough go when needed.
Only downside is the report of some horrible faults - brake failure on Diesils, clutch pedal going to the floor, radio going on holiday and not comming back.
Make sure you have a warrenty and good sercvice history and you'll be fine.
