Great car, very pleased!

One month into owning a Prius and I'm very pleased. Everyone said don't get one, get a frugal diesel, etc but I'm chuffed to get over 60mpg to work and back every day, my record on a warm day (does make a big difference) is 71mpg! As Honest John says it addictive to better the mpg, my worst was 51mpg which was going over 70mph on a motorway. My normal drive to work is 35 miles over A and B roads in the country, so you don't need to live in the metropolis to get good consumption.
The micky taking of buying a hybrid sill goes on, but stuff them! This is a great car.
The other thing you'll experience is lots of stares from other cars, not a car for the shy.
The silent running in a supermarket car park is the most stressful driving from a normally very relaxing car to drive, you soon see no one looks where they are going when walking in car parks and when a silent car appears beside pedestrians you grin watching their adrenaline take over :)
The gadgets are great inside, the car's got everything, maybe too much which can be a distraction sometimes.
No key needed to unlock, drive and lock the car. Thought I'd give this a mention as it's not mentioned on the other reviews and it's very useful.
If you're thinking about getting one take a few test drives, they take some getting used to.
Lastly, mine doesn't have any rattles, fingers crossed that stays the same...
