Suzuki Swift (2010 - 2017)
1.6 sport
excellent value for money with top rate handling
Bought this as a second car principally to be used by my wife.Had a 2006 sport version some 10 years ago.The current car just like the previous version is cracking good value for money and at the price is hard to beat on performance and handling. From a driving point of view my only complaint is the quality of the gearchange which is quite poor, being really quite clonky, for want of a better word.Dont know whether this is typical of the current sport model or simply because mine has done 26000 miles. The car is very well kitted out although the latest model year cars now have DAB radio and sat-nav as standard. For a sport version the car rides relatively ok but have to say that if you ride in the rear there is a fair bit of road noise especially from under the wheel arches.Presume that this is due to insufficient sound deadening. So far the car is averaging around 45 to the gallon which seems pretty good considering the performance. On the downside CO2 is not that competitive for a 1600 non turbo engine nor are the service intervals of 9000.
