Suzuki Swift (2010 - 2017)
1.6 3-door Sport
Small, zippy car that always pleases
After owning the old 2005 model Sport, we decided to get the new one last year. We had no real complaints about the old model other than the lack of a sixth gear, which made m'way driving a bit frantic. The new one is the 'same but better' in almost every way - looks, space, performance and refinement are all improved. It's not over-endowed with power and you have to make sure you've got the right gear selected or you'll find it can bog-down a bit on exiting a corner, but once you realise this it can surprise you with its liveliness. Sometimes I'll stick my foot down (in the right gear!) and I wonder where the surge came from. Smallish boot, but enough room for the luggage for a holiday for me and my wife. Good MPG too. Add electric mirrors, Bluetooth, USB support and good build quality and this car is a delight.
