Awesome car

The car is much fun to drive - gearbox is old 5 speed with smooth changes and nice response time, engine is perfectly matched to it. I've got every option I really need - electric seats with memory, keyless entry and start, bluetooth when I installed Viseoo in the phone cradle, sat nav, etc. The CLK500 is very fast - easily achieving speeds up to 250 KM/H (156 mph), nice acceleration, very good turning cycle.
I've replaced some of the front suspension components, front shock absorbers and the combination switch for lights/wipers. Other problem I had is that the front locking cylinder of the roof failed - so I've sent it to the US for recycling and they did a quick and fast job (1 week with shipping) as in Germany the part was on backorder with waiting time up to 3 months and I needed it fast in the middle of the summer.
Parts are relatively cheap and easy to find. Check well before you buy because thrashed examples may have a lot of components to replace and some repairs are tricky.
If you buy a cabrio check the roof very well as repair is slow and sometimes quite complicated.
I bought the car for 10K EUR with 50k miles on the clock and the fun is worth every cent of what I paid. so I highly recommend this as a fun car.
But if you look for economy, please look elsewhere.
