Brilliant Car fitted with a r****** engine
Two weeks ago at 53,000 miles my engine seized whilst joining the AI north bound near Melton Mowbray. I was amazed to find this is a common problem and stems from a design fault, there is no correlation between mileage and catastrophic failure. I need a new engine and a new Land Rover replacement unit fitted by a non franchise garage is costing me an eye watering £10k! The extended warranty is void as I have run over servicing during lockdown, I shall keep it for twelve months of the new warranty issued by L/R and dump it.
I'll send you some pictures when the garage remove the sump.
