Kia Venga (2010 - 2019)
1 1.4 Air ISG 5dr
Roomy, reliable and comfortable off motorways
Starts and drives nicely along country lanes and town traffic. Motorways so-so.
Springs are a bit soft and engine small for high speed cruising.
No great torque so manual gear changing can be a chore on hills or blind corners.
Slight clutch judder has always been present.
Over a year and 3000 miles clutch is neither better nor worse.
Compared to a Vauxhall Cavalier, a Polo and a Golf the Venga is most Polo like especially on motorways.
Would I buy another Kia or Venga? Oh yes, price was just half that it was bought new for according to Kia dealer receipts found in back of service manual. Price I paid was very competitive for an 18 month old with 2500 miles. Kia's have high initial depreciation and this is a discontinued model so a Venga gives excellent value for money when buying 2 or 3 years old. Next car... I'll stay with Kia... maybe a petrol Carens...
