Practical, easy to drive but ......

First year was fine. The car is economical, very practical and easy to live with.

However, with 22k on the clock one of the rear callipers started binding and there is an annoying sc***ing noise when turning sharp right hand bends - doesn't happen all the time, but irritating when it does.

At 26k miles the car developed an intermittent fault - when dropping a gear to overtake, the car suddenly loses power almost resulting in a couple of rear end accidents from the car following. Very unnerving. It coincides with a noticeable increase in fuel consumption and occasional juddering at low revs. The dealer can find no fault and suggested it was the fuel filter (unlikely since they changed it at 21k miles).

It's a shame, I was hoping to hang onto the car for two or three more years, and hàd bought an extended service plan last year, but not confident in the car or the brand.
