Versatile car with reasonable mpg

I have now covered 4000 miles in my diesel Venga and I am happy with the performance and hope the mpg will improve from the 62mpg I get on average.
The only real niggle I have with the Venga is the fact that the boot floor when set to the higher level collapses every time I go over a bump in the road. I have contacted Kia regarding this issue but they say its only me that has this problem and that the floor is tested in the factory.
I feel that a shopping from Tesco should not constitute an overload of the boot floor and I would be interested to hear if other owners are experiencing this problem.
