Awful ride, dreadful economy, lots of room

The most uncomfortable car I've ever driven, it bounces higher than a kangaroo on speed on the slightest bump, and it came with an umbilical cord permanently attached to a petrol station. I spend all my time trying to drive economically yet can only get 26 - 27 mpg, far worse than the old Peugeot 406 that it replaced and which used to give 32 mpg around town and 40 plus on combined runs.. I'm told it needs to be run in fully but after 6000 miles the consumption seems to be getting worse. Don't touch the make with a very long bargepole - they are cheap because they are......... priced according to their quality, which ain't good. I've tried running it on Shell V fuel - it just cost more and used even more of it. It's a junkie for petrol. One good thing - my wife loves the colour.
