Good mechanics, let down by very poor interior quality.

Our vehicle is fully main dealer serviced with 51000 miles to date. Purchased from a middle aged couple with no children. The interior has not fared in a way one would expect. Plastic appears to be soft and cheap, this makes it very easy to scratch. The gear stick gaiter has started to disintegrate, but the biggest problem and the most disappointing are the leather seats, which are just not up to the standard you would expect, even in a cheaper marque. The side bolsters (the bits either side of your ribs) have begun to flake, a little like weathered paint. The dealership agreed that this was a little unacceptable and took pictures that were sent to Honda UK , Honda UK accepted that this was unusual, and the cost of replacement for both front seat bolsters (four panels) would be £2400.12 but as a gesture of goodwill the price to me, would be £885.60.Read into this as you will, but presently I am not feeling 'The Power of Dreams'. I will say however, the wife finds the car a practical and comfortable vehicle which meets the needs that comes with two small children.
