Ford Focus (2011 - 2014)
Titanium Navigator 1.0T EcoBoost 125 5dr Hatchback
Well equipped, quiet and comfortable with surprisingly good performance for such a small engine.
Ex-rental car purchased at 5 months old from Motorpoint with approx. 4,000 miles on the clock. After nearly 18 months' ownership and a further 8,000 miles, the car has been 100% reliable and is reasonably economical to run, although the average fuel consumption of 45.6 mpg is well below the manufacturer's claimed figure. However, I was expecting this before I went ahead with the purchase and in my opinion the consumption is reasonable for the type of vehicle and the type of driving I do - lots of short journeys plus the occasional long one. It's certainly not a sports car but performance is nevertheless quite good provided you make full use of the 6-speed 'box. I'm not very impressed with the built-in satnav, especially as updates cost nearly £100 from Ford, so I'm still using my trusty TomTom which is considerably better. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and, as time passes, I notice that the fuel consumption is gradually and steadily improving from 40.4 mpg at purchase to 45.6 mpg now.
