Citroen C5 (2008 - 2016)
1.6 HDi 16v SX Saloon
I'm the Million Mile Reviewer Back
Hi there. I'm the Million Miles Reviewer from earlier.
Well I now have 70k Miles on my 2008 C5 Dynamique (Irish Description) 1.6 HDI. I now need to replace the passenger side front window mechanism. There is obviously a problem with this item and are Citroen doing anything about it? In Ireland I only had a 2 (TWO) year warranty and the dealer has since gone bust so I can't use the Sale of Goods Act against him.
Also had a leaking injector which was rectified by another dealer at a cost during a Citroen recall for windscreen trims check. Then while in garage I had LOW OIL PRESSURE. I believe this was caused by the leaking Injector this dealer identified while there. The Old Toyota Problem, Leaky Injector allows diesel to contaminate oil and blocks filter in sump. I removed the sump (out of warranty now) and had a good look in and noted crusted material on filter in sump, I had to sc***e it off with screw driver then powerwash and reassemble. New oil and filter which I will change again after 1000 miles using this oil as a flush. Oil pressure fine now.
Also the seat support on drivers seat has gone again (15 1/2 stone) and out of warranty.
I also had unusual wear on R H R tyre which caused wheel to be off balance. Deep wear for 6 inches only, practically into wire, in the one spot only. Wheel bearing OK.
Economy Mode came on and was effective each time I turned on car for 2000 miles then it rectified itself just before it was to go to dealer and nothing showed on the diagnostics.
One day the car "died" and the Paticulate Filter Faulty warning came on, I switched car off and on again and it rectified itself.
So I had lots to relate
