Citroen C5 (2008 - 2016)
2.0 HDi 16v Exclusive 4dr Saloon
Nice comfy, rare with a certain gallic style but has flaws..
Wanted something differant. She wanted something small n nippy. Golf/Astra/A3 etc too small he says, he wanted a Mondeo/passat/320d etc, too big she says. So we tried em all. Nearly settled on an Octavia but then we came across the c5 at a citroen dealer and it does have a certain wow its differant factor and didnt feel or look as big as the Mondeo/Passat! Very comfortable, smooth ride, we both like the steering so are a bit non plussed at other feedback there. Nice console, like the central inputs around the hub, everything else suits us. Only niggles....mpg, we seem to average mid high 30's no where near 5o. Even cruising on a flat motorway at 75, the computer says 35/37! But THE main niggle, it takes forever to shift into 6th. Its easier to slide the auto/man lever over to semi manual and pop it into 6th etc, BUT I shouldnt have to do that. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Huge boot, bit of a small opening but hey ho. Suits us but it is biggish and the mpg does suck a bit but we bought it to tow a caravan so lets see what happens then!
