A very nice second-hand car indeed for the money
I've only had this car a week or so. Perhaps I shall return at a later date with a fuller review.
However, my initial reaction is "Wow" what a great car I've got for ten grand! It's done 24k miles so should be just about run in. It's perhaps the quietest car I have ever owned, and I've owned a lot. Yes the steering is pretty lifeless, that was the first thing to notice on the test drive. Yes the nav and car system controls are numerous and don't necessarily work as I've been used to, but I'm getting there.
Having owned a succession of Saabs, this car requires a different style of driving. It feels more like a limo, it just glides along quietly, you sit there and enjoy the ride. It doesn't hang about, this one is 'only' 140hp but that's plenty if you wind it up in the gears.
It has a huge amount of load space - it's already done a run to the Council tip with half an old kitchen inside it - yet the back sets (which fold, obviously) are very comfortable indeed.
So no real negatives at all yet, early days though. Take the scores I've given with a pinch of salt, too early to say.
