Anybody had a problem with small flaw in the body of a steel wheel leading to deflation. I have had 2 in a year. Original GM wheels with a Dunlop stamp in the rim. Both occured after a tyre change. An existing manufacturer defect triggered by the tyre change process was the diagnosis. No prevous dammage kerbing etc. I am concerned about the other 3.

The wheels are 9 years old and nothing lasts forever. They could have been kerbed in the past dozens of times with no obvious damage plus think how many pot holes they have been run through. No doubt they are rusty as well especially at the back.
You would be wasting your time attempting to prove a manufacturing defect, as I said things do wear out.
