Poor fuel economy on a Lexus IS - any ideas?

Just bought a Lexus IS220d and I'm very dissapointed with the mpg, I'm only getting 24 mpg, but the official Lexus site says 35 mpg urban 55 extra urban 45 combined. What could be the problem?
