Powerful automatic suggestions

My friend is doing a lot of motorway driving and wants a powerful petrol automatic with £8,000 to spend. He is happy to pay the petrol prices but is worried about getting the Audi 3.2 because of the potential repair costs and is therefore considering a Lexus because its supposed to be more reliable. What would you recommend?

Very well built. Top quality interior. Lexus dealers are best in the business. Impressive refinement. All engines chain cam. IS250 probably the most reliable car you can buy.
